You are hereby summoned to attend the monthly meeting of Lydiard Tregoze Parish Council on Monday, 10th March, 2025 at 19:15, Hook Village Hall SN4 8EA.

Public Participation:  Members of the public are invited to make representations to the council on matters relating to items on this Agenda (Public Bodies [Admission to Meetings] Act 1960), before the meeting starts (limited to 15 minutes, 3 minutes each speaker).  Every effort will be made to give accurate answers to all questions, but in some cases further research may be necessary.  Please submit your questions or comments to the Clerk by emailing clerk@lydiardtregoze-pc.gov.uk before 9a.m. on the day of the meeting to ensure inclusion.

Planning queries regarding Enforcement

  • ENF/2024/01014 – Land adjacent to 19 Hook Street – unauthorised use of land – it is hoped that the inspector will visit w/c 3/3/2025

25.17 Highways/Maintenance/Flooding issues

  1. LGFIG meeting 12/2/2025 – outstanding item 11-24-12 regarding footway link on west side between village hall and the old shop – discuss how we move forward.
  2. Due to a request for the subsidence opposite the Old School House Restaurant to be repaired, Martin Cook has issued instructions with WC contractor to carry out some localised carriageway surfing patching in the vicinity of the Old School House Restaurant, due to an already full programme it will be EARLY SUMMER before it is carried out, subsequently it has been asked if when carrying out the work that the same could be done opposed Hook Farm as previously requested but at the time, it didn’t meet the intervention levels for repair.
  3. Highways Improvement Request Forms – following on from last meeting suggestion of pathway from RWB Sports Ground to RWB Rugby Club submitted as per minute 25.09.4
  4. Recent Traffic Survey carried out – possibility of SID’s being installed.

25.18 Other Business to Consider

  1. Host Defibrillator address – Elm House, Hook, Swindon is now sold – suggestions for approach to new occupants as the hosting agreement setup in June 2022 is now void.

25.19 Finance to Consider

  1. Quotes for dog pooh bins to consider:
  • Kingfisher Direct 40 litres £162.00 each incl VAT (plastic construction)
  • Glasdon 35 litres £270 each incl. VAT (plastic construction) plus delivery
  • Roadware 35 litres £183.54 each incl VAT (plastic construction)
  1. Quote from Idverde £1696.17 + VAT to empty 2 bins once a week 52 weeks of the year
  2. Unity Trust Bank reduced interest on our Instant Access account from 2.5% to 2.25%

25.20 Expenditures

  1. To approve Microsoft 365 payments for Feb £12.36
  2. To approve clerk’s salary for February, 2025.

Matters Arising for Next Meeting

  • Final arrangements for Annual Lydiard Tregoze Parish Meeting arranged Friday 16/5/2025 18:00 suggestions for topics to be discussed ready for the flyer to be printed
  • Local & Neighbourhood Plan Meeting to be rescheduled to after May 2025 elections
